OPIX adds Joshua Bedenbaugh to growing team Featured

LAS VEGAS, August 23, 2021 – OPIX Systems, LLC is excited to announce the hiring of Joshua Bedenbaugh as Regional Director for the Southeast region.

Bedenbaugh has over 20 years’ experience in HVAC, mechanical and energy automation and financed energy services.  He will be responsible for the management of current projects, as well as cultivating and developing new accounts in the southeast in addition to select national accounts.

“We are excited to have Josh on board because he has a solid reputation and brings with him the market knowledge and experience we’ve been looking for,” said Charlie Garcia, OPIX’s managing partner. “His organizational skills and local presence will take OPIX to the next level as a business.”

Bedenbaugh spent the first 10 years of his professional career focused in the building automation sector where, through his hard work and refinement of his skills, he was promoted from an install technician to leading the engineering department for the region prior to his departure in 2014.  Since that time, Bedenbaugh has worked for an industry leader in the financed energy projects sector overseeing and managing projects across the U.S. in both the implementation and performance phase.

During his tenure, Bedenbaugh was responsible for working with the team as the Performance Phase Manager, handling development and contract negotiations and overseeing the execution of services for the Performance Phase of ESPC projects across the U.S. for various customers. These include federal entities such as the Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference, the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, the Department of Energy, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Homeland Security, among others, and state and local entities such as the City of Atlanta Watershed and Aviation, the Georgia Department of Corrections and the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Among his portfolio were also several Outside Contiguous United States projects that he played key roles in the development and execution of in both Europe and Japan. In a relatively short time, he emerged as a leader in his sector and departed in good standing as a senior member of the Performance Phase group.

“I earned valuable team and project management experience that truly prepares me to join OPIX as someone who can partner with current leadership and take is into the next level of service, providing the same attention to detail and quality while increasing our ability to take on larger and more complex projects,” Bedenbaugh said. “I have always been attracted to working for organizations that do things the ‘right way’ and are customer-centric in their philosophy. OPIX, while it is in many aspects still in its infancy, is being built on a solid foundation and reputation of providing top tier service to our customers at an affordable cost.”

Additionally, Bedenbaugh said OPIX is being built with a true “family” culture which focuses on the end goals of the customer to help roadmap solutions that achieve those goals while minimizing capital investment where possible.

“While it would be cliche to say I plan to bring ‘great things’ to OPIX, this truly is what I intend to bring to the table for current and soon to be customers of OPIX Systems,” he said. “I intend to leverage all of my acumen, resources, experience and abilities to work with the managing team to grow OPIX into a nationally-recognized brand synonymous with the core values of a customer-centric service provider. That is, one with an internal culture that will draw in top talent from all disciplines of our industry.”
